The Labor Management Council has existed since 1965.  The council was conceived because people from both Labor and Management realized their goals were harmonious in most cases, and there should be a separate and distinct organization in which both sides could participate to further their mutual goals.  It was decided that the council would be a “proactive” organization addressing any issues of mutual concern excluding politics, mediation, and conciliation.  Advisory committee members include representatives of area school districts and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
