The Labor Management Council of Northeast Wisconsin is a non-profit organization governed by an Executive Committee composed of an equal number of labor and management representatives elected by the Council membership.  Representatives of member organizations are included as Council members.  A number of sub-committees composed of Council members as well as an Executive Director and staff assist in carrying out Board approved programs and activities.

 

Goals:

  • Promote positive labor management relations
  • Develop an industrial relations environment conducive to industrial development and retention, in an atmosphere of cooperation, with a vision for the future
  • Open new channels of communication and encourage resolution of problems affecting labor management relations
  • Work in close conjunction with area educators, at all levels, to ensure a well trained, quality workforce for the future

Methods:

  • Provide regular labor relations education and training events
  • Promote development of a positive approach to media coverage of labor-management issues
  • Sponsorship of programs to promote interaction between the business, labor and education communities
  • Promotion of innovative, creative solutions to labor management issues
