The School to Career Program with Joel Newcomb was the best graduate credit investment I've made so far in my career. I have referred to what I've learned in this course multiple times in casual conservation throughout the summer and it has reshaped the way I teach and how I understand what skills students will need to be successful after graduation.

Collective Bargaining Workshops PDF Print E-mail

Students from area high schools are invited to participate in a day-long mock bargaining workshop designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the collective bargaining process and the role of labor and management teams. Using a workbook developed by the University of Wisconsin School for Workers, leaders from labor and management serve as volunteer advisors to the student’s teams as they negotiate a collective bargaining agreement for a hypothetical company.  All students and teachers from Northeast Wisconsin area are eligible to participate in this program each year.

The 2010 Collective Bargainging Workshops will be held the week of March 15, 2010.  Watch for specific dates and updates or call the Labor Management Council Office at: (920) 882-7712.  You may also contact us by email at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
